Lam rubbishes claims SAR govt eroding people's freedoms

All accusations that the Hong Kong SAR government is eroding people's freedoms are unsubstantiated, Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor told reporters on Tuesday.
Lam said she could not accept any demand that "requires us to deviate from the law, not to uphold the rule of law or to do things that are actually beyond the powers of the chief executive."
