Beijing Wtown rolls out Spring Festival treats

The Beijing Wtown has launched a series of Spring Festival celebrations that combine traditional culture and modern practices.

The 15 events, ranging from stand-up comedy and drone shows, to dragon and lion dances and acrobatics, will last until Feb 12.

Notably, a plethora of winter sports, including ski and ice fishing, are available for visitors to experience the beauty of winter.

The water town has also prepared an intangible cultural heritage workshop, gourmet food offerings, and performances that will allow visitors can immerse themselves in local traditions during Spring Festival.

A temple fair at the foot of the Great Wall will allow visitors to experience folk customs and try local snacks.

Between Jan 29 and Feb12, all visitors born in the Year of the Snake can make online reservations to enter the water town for free, with a daily limit of 6,000 people.
