China proposed five initiatives to deepen BRICS cooperation during the 18th BRICS Leaders' Meeting in New Delhi, India: the open source and inclusive AI initiative, the trade and investment facilitation initiative, the digital industry cooperation initiative, the intelligent manufacturing cooperation initiative, and the science and technology talent development initiative.
Tian Li, director of the Internet Development Research Center at Peking University, said the five initiatives turn the Global South's shared aspiration for equitable development into concrete, actionable cooperation plans. They chart a clear course, offer an action guide, and provide a practical roadmap for BRICS countries as they usher in a shared future.
