The Nandagang Wetland in Cangzhou, Hebei province, has entered the peak season for spring migratory birds, putting on an amazing display of wildlife featuring five national first-class protected species.

On the shimmering mudflats, rare birds such as the Siberian white crane, the hooded crane, the red-crowned crane, the Oriental stork, and the white-naped crane have gathered in an unprecedented congregation, forming the most spectacular bird assembly in the wetland in recent years.
