PageGroup CEO optimistic about job market in China, APAC region

In an exclusive interview China Daily, Nicolas Kirk, Chief Executive Officer of PageGroup, expressed optimism in the job market in China and the entire APAC region after seeing business improvements in all of its four major Chinese mainland cities since the latter half of 2025. He said Chinese companies' rising demand for talents with multinational backgrounds and multinational companies' continued reach into China, which is translated into demand for talents with local expertise, are the major drivers. While how AI will further change jobs is yet to be unlocked, "don't run away from it" is the piece of advice from Kirk. "Run toward it. Greet it. Be curious. Ask questions," he said.
