Three thousand runners tackle Great Wall trail race in Qinhuangdao

More than 3,000 trail runners gathered on Sunday in the coastal city of Qinhuangdao, Hebei province, for the 2026 China Mountain Trail Open in Funing district.
The race, also named the Bingtangyu Great Wall Trail Run, featured four distances ranging from 5 to 50 kilometers, blending elite competition with public participation. The 50-km and 30-km categories drew many of China's top trail runners, according to the organizers.
