China-Africa ties: Light beyond seas, stories beyond shores

At a time when narratives of civilizational divides are all too common, a forum on China-Africa media cooperation shows a different path.

The 7th Forum on China-Africa Media Cooperation is underway in Beijing. Co-hosted by China's National Radio and Television Administration, the Beijing Municipal Government, and the African Union of Broadcasting, the forum brings together some 400 delegates from China and 45 African nations. It marks 70 years of China-Africa diplomatic ties and is part of the 2026 China-Africa Year of People-to-People Exchanges.
