China Coast Guard intensifies patrols around Huangyan Island

The China Coast Guard conducted law enforcement patrols in the territorial waters of Huangyan Island and surrounding areas on Sunday, according to a statement released by the CCG.
Since August, the CCG has strengthened its patrols in these waters and addressed vessels engaged in illegal activities in accordance with laws and regulations, the statement said.
These patrols have further enhanced the management and control of the waters, safeguarding China's territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests, it added.
