LIVE: Rescue efforts after Nepal-China border mudslide

A mudslide struck Gyirong Port in Shigatse on Aug 26 after originating on the Nepalese side of China-Nepal border. It caused major casualties and damaged roads, electricity and communications, cutting off access to the core disaster area. After days of continuous efforts, National Highway G216, the main route to the port, reopened on Wednesday.
