British fashion house Vivienne Westwood has opened its first restaurant-and-bar concept, the Westwood Club, in Beijing, extending its presence from fashion to dining and social spaces.
The club is part of Vivienne Westwood House Beijing, a four-story destination in Beijing's Huamao business district that also houses the brand's fashion collections, a bridal salon and a cafe. The house is the brand's first integrated space of its kind globally.
Occupying the entire third floor, the Westwood Club combines a restaurant, bar and social space. It can accommodate up to 54 guests and features banquette seating, dark natural wood and a chef's table for up to eight diners. A marble bar with a gold-patterned surface forms the interior's central element, while graphics associated with the fashion house appear on the walls.
The menu focuses on European classics prepared with Western techniques while incorporating Chinese ingredients and culinary approaches. Dishes include Burrata with Iberico Ham and Figs, Provençal Seafood Soup, Beef Wellington, Truffle Risotto, and Fish and Chips.
The menu also incorporates the fashion house's signature orb motif into selected dishes, linking its visual identity with the dining experience.
The beverage menu includes wines and classic cocktails, alongside four signature drinks: Worlds End, Prince Charming, The Conduit, and Cafe Society. The names reference locations associated with the fashion house or its collections.
The opening also reflects a broader shift in Beijing's consumer and cultural landscape, as the city becomes a testing ground for new combinations of fashion, food, art, and social experiences. With international brands increasingly moving beyond traditional retail formats, Beijing is emerging as a trend hub where global creative concepts intersect with local tastes and urban lifestyles.
