The first members of China's delegation for the fifth Asian Para Games arrived in Nagoya, Japan, on Monday, to begin preparations for the upcoming sporting event.
The group includes delegation officials and teams competing in events such as athletics, blind football, and wheelchair basketball.
Following the official establishment of the delegation in Beijing on Oct 10, participants are scheduled to arrive in Nagoya in four groups to allow time for pre-competition preparations, venue familiarization, and logistical arrangements.
All teams are expected to assemble before the Games open on Oct 18.
The delegation is the country's largest ever for an Asian Para Games held overseas, according to the organizers.
