World Bank country director: What development keywords can a robot exhibition reveal about China?
Over the past four plus decades and more, China has achieved rapid development and structural transformation, lifting 800 million people out of extreme poverty, and steadily raising incomes and welfare.
Citing the World Robot Conference in Beijing as an example, Tatiana Rosito, World Bank country director for China, Mongolia, and Korea, noted that robotics is accelerating on the ground in China, boosting productivity and changing people's daily lives.
She said she looks forward to China's 15th Five-Year Plan, including new productive forces, high-quality development, more and better jobs, and green transition.
The World Bank's cooperation with China will focus on three pillars: promoting productivity and job growth, enhancing human capital for better jobs, and strengthening resilient infrastructure and natural capital. (Reporter: Li Wei; Video: Pan Yixuan, Cheng Zixin)
