At the 20th Guizhou Tourism Industry Development Conference kicks off on March 30, Guiyang launched a new cultural tourism initiative based on the "Five Exquisites" framework. A key element of this initiative is the promotion of "premium coffee." Guiyang has emerged as a notable player in China's specialty coffee scene, with over 3,000 independent cafes, ranking among the highest densities in China. Local baristas are creating unique drinks that combine international brewing techniques with Guizhou flavors, such as osmanthus-infused lattes and cold brews with local maojian tea.

Complementing the coffee scene is the growth of "craft beer," which has thrived alongside Guiyang's lively night economy. Local breweries use the region's agricultural resources to produce distinctive beers. These breweries have become popular social venues, offering tasting experiences and live music that attract both tourists and locals.

Central to the "Five Exquisites" is "exquisite dining." Guiyang's food scene highlights the bold and vibrant flavors of Guizhou cuisine, known for its sour and spicy notes. High-end restaurants present classic dishes like sour soup fish with artistic flair, while night markets offer a wide array of street foods, from osmanthus cakes to braised pig’s feet, catering to diverse palates.

The fourth aspect, "brilliant cultural and creative products," revitalizes local heritage. Guiyang leverages its rich intangible cultural heritage, such as Miao silver craftsmanship and embroidery, to create trendy items that blend ancient artistry with modern aesthetics.
