Across China, taking off on a bicycle into the morning light is becoming a more common part of daily life. As more people trade cars or bus rides for a more physically rewarding experience, cities like Beijing and Shenzhen have adjusted their transport rules to allow bicycles on subways.
These measures have opened new doors for the fitness lifestyle, making parked bicycles a common sight on public transit as riders take advantage of the opportunity to conveniently get away from city streets. Country roads, reservoir shores, and mountain trails are now accessible for day trips.
